Bluewater Express Ferry Travel Time
The Bluewater Express Tioman ferry operates from 7.30 AM to 5.00 PM. The ferry takes about 2 hours 30 minutes to reach Tioman Island from Mersing Jetty. However, sometimes high tides in Mersing are likely to affect travel time.
Bluewater Ferry Check-in Time
Passengers can do online check-in to speed up the process. A valid identification card and proof of booking confirmation via mobile phone/tablet/etc. is required at the check-in counter to generate a boarding pass.
While the ticket counter closes 30 minutes before boarding the ferry, you must collect your tickets from the ticket collection counter 1 hour before departure. The ticketing counter is located at unit W1 & W2, Mersing Harbour Centre.
Bluewater Ferry Ticket Prices
The ferry ticket prices are variable as per the drop-off in Tioman islands.
Bluewater Ferry charges RM 60-85 for adult passengers and RM 55-70 for children for a one-way ferry to Tioman islands. The ferry ride is free for children below 5 years of age, accompanied by an adult.
Passengers can book their ferry tickets online and pay the Marine Park entry fee, terminal fee, and purchase tickets for the Johor National Park at the ferry terminal itself.

Marine Park Conservation Charges
Tourists visiting Marine Parks Malaysia have to pay a nominal conservation charge as required by the Fees Act 1951, Fees (Marine Parks Malaysia) Order 2017. The revenue collected from the charge goes to the Marine Parks and Marine Reserves Trust Fund to manage and maintain the parks, and to provide facilities and comfort to visitors.
People with disabilities are exempted from the charge, and residents living on islands surrounded by Marine Parks are also exempted.
