Spanning 638 metres, the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge (Jambatan Angkat Terengganu) is Malaysia’s only bascule drawbridge and Southeast Asia’s first. It connects the north bank of Terengganu (also known as Seberang Takir) to the south bank, reducing traffic congestion and cutting travel time between the state’s airport and city centre. Since its completion in 2019, the Terengganu Drawbridge has attracted both local and international tourists, becoming the state’s latest icon. The bridge comprises four 15-storey towers, with two on each side of the river connected by skybridges. Beyond its striking exterior, the Terengganu Drawbridge also offers multiple attractions within its towers, including a public gallery, a hydraulic tour, a glass-floored sky terrace, and a restaurant.

The easiest way to reach the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge is by car or via e-hailing services. It is close to Mayang Mall and Pasar Payang, located in the heart of the city.

Limited free parking is available at two locations:

1. On the roadside of the bridge towers

2. Under the bridge (left side of Seberang Takir Road).
