The Aquaria KLCC entrance is on the concourse level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, accessible from Jalan Pinang. There is only one entrance to the aquarium. The entrance is different from the Exit point. Visitors will enter from one end and exit from the other.

Take the Kelana Jaya Line LRT to the KLCC Station (KJ10). Walk through the underpass connecting the Suria KLCC Mall to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

From Bukit Bintang MRT Station or Raja Chulan Monorail Station, proceed to the Convention Centre via the enclosed air-conditioned pedestrian walkway.

This double-decker bus with an open-roof deck for city sightseeing covers 27 attractions on its route. You can drop off at Stop 10 and go directly to Aquaria KLCC.

Zones and Attractions in Aquaria KLCC

Aquaria KLCC is spread across 2 Levels, which start with The Stream and end at the Station Aquarius. 

Level 1 Aquaria KLCC Map

Evolution Zone

This is the introductory area featuring the following exhibits

1. Piranha Tank showcases the red-bellied piranhas feeding in daily sessions at 04:00 PM. 

2. Gene Pool (DNA Touch Pool) is an interactive station where guests can touch starfish, sea cucumbers, horseshoe crabs and bamboo sharks. 

3. Electric Zone has species such as the black ghost fish, elephant-nose fish, and electric catfish. 

The Stream 

The zone features the creatures that inhabit the riverbanks and jungles. 

5. Otter Den is the centrepiece, where you can see the Asian small-clawed otters in pools and on a waterslide. Visitors can watch handlers play games and perform tricks with the otters during feeding time. 

6. Riverbank Jungle replicates a riverbank jungle habitat. Key species include chameleons, reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and insects such as Madagascar cockroaches. 

Shipwreck 

The zone is themed to resemble the hull of a wooden sailing ship, complete with broken porcelain and pottery decor to mimic a sunken vessel. It features creatures from ocean depths, such as zebra eels, snowflake eels, red dwarf lionfish, rockfish and spotted garden eels poking up from the sand. 

6. Tales of the Ocean focuses on the marine life and conservation before transitioning to the freshwater journey. 

7. Coral Walk is an immersive corridor in Shipwreck that simulates a deep-ocean environment and features glow-in-the-dark (biofluorescent) coral displays. 

8. Coral Discovery exhibits native shipwreck species, such as the red dwarf lionfish and rockfish, that make the sunken vessel their home.

Deep Forest 

The zone represents the Amazonian freshwater ecosystem. 

9. Flooded Forest is one of the most popular activities in Level 2. Visitors can enter the zone by descending a staircase that wraps around a massive cylindrical fish tank, which offers a top view of the giant stingrays and fish. 

10. Freshwater Journey showcases several of the world’s largest freshwater fish, such as the giant Siamese Carp, alligator gar, arapaima, and redtail catfish. 

The Coast 

The zone focuses on the Malaysian shoreline ecosystem.  

11. Mudflats is the home of frolicking mudskippers. 

12. Coastal Nursery highlights the life cycle of bamboo sharks.

13. Mangrove features archerfish 

14. Coastal exhibits the coconut crab, the world’s largest terrestrial invertebrate. 

Living Ocean 

15. Shark’s Den exhibits some of the most famous predators, like the Sand Tiger Shark, up close. 

16. Giant Shovelnose Ray Corner features unique stingrays with distinct “goofy smiles,” which are clearly visible as they swim overhead in the tunnel. 

17. Cage Rage Experience is for adventure junkies, where visitors are submerged in a cage to watch sharks and rays swim around them. 

18. Royal Nanhai Shipwreck is a themed wreck within the Living Ocean, showcasing sunken vessels that have become vibrant habitats for diverse marine species.

Is a neon-lit “starry corridor” dedicated to the mysterious and unusual creatures like the chambered nautilus and the Giant Pacific Octopus. 

27. W & W Tanks is an illuminated tube tank in the Weird and Wonderful zone that showcases bioluminescent species such as the pinecone fish. 

28. Jellyfish is an immersive display featuring ethereal moon jellies that showcase the formless beauty af the marine creatures. 

29. Glass Bottom Boat provides visitors with a unique top-down view experience of the aquarium inhabitants. 

Atlantis Souvenir Store

The zone is a research-themed laboratory that serves as the final exhibit for observing seahorses and various jellyfish.
