How to Reach Genting Awana SkyWay

By Car

Travel by car to the Awana SkyWay Station, which is situated in Genting Highlands' Gohtong Jaya. There is parking at the station.

By Bus

From Kuala Lumpur or other major cities, take a bus to Genting Highlands. Passengers are typically dropped off by buses close to the Awana SkyWay Station.

By Taxi

To get straight to the station, use Grab or other ride-hailing applications.

• Titiwangsa Mountains and rainforest

The Awana Skyway provides a panoramic view of the lush rainforest and breathtaking views of the Titiwangsa Mountains. 

• Chin Swee Caves Temple 

The Chin Swee Cave Temple is the first stop on the cable car ride. It is a grand religious site located near the peak of Resorts World Genting. The important landmarks are: the iconic nine-storey lamp-lit pagoda, the open-air Sky Terrace, and a 15-metre statue of Buddha. 

• Sky Avenue

This is the endpoint of the Genting Awana Skyway Cable Car and one of the popular lifestyle malls in Genting Highlands with more than 100 shopping outlets. 

• Ripley’s Believe It or Not

Ripley’s Believe It or Not is a dedicated museum for all things bizarre. Located on the 4th Level of Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands, it is home to 400 odd collectables, weird art, and artefacts. 

Difference between Genting Skyway and Awana Skyway

Genting Skyway

• Genting Skyway operates between Gohtong Jaya Station and Resort Hotel Station with no intermediate stops. 

• The Genting Skyway spans a 3.3 km route that traverses Mount Ulu Kali in the Genting Sempah area. 

• The Genting Skyway is the older system that serves as a backup when Skyway Awana is under maintenance. 

• They have standard gondolas without glass. The seating capacity of the Standard gondola is ten passengers. 

Awana Skyway

• Awana Skyway operates across three stations: Awana Station, Chin Swee Station, and SkyAvenue Station. 

• The  Awana Skyway is slightly shorter, covering only 2.4 km. 

• The Genting Awana is the main cable car connecting Awana to SkyAvenue. 

• They have both Standard gondolas, glass floor gondolas and Chartered Gondolas. The seating capacity of the glass gondola is around six passengers, and the seating capacity of the Chartered Gondola is around 10 passengers.

Things to know before visiting Genting Highland Awana Skyway

1. Passengers can bring aircraft cabin-size bags into the gondola. 

2. Wheelchairs and strollers are accessible in the Standard Gondola. 

3. Children under 90 cm in height can enjoy a free ride.

4. Keep your tickets handy if you disembark at Chin Swee Station, to continue the journey to the top or leave the resort from SkyAvenue Station. 

5. It is a non-smoking attraction. Hence, smoking of any product or vapour is strictly prohibited. 

6. Dress appropriately while taking the ride with the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car. 

7. Pets are prohibited.
