The Johor Student Free Buses or Jom Balik Raya Programme set aside a fleet of 23 buses to assist the return trip of 1,000 students from 11 institutions of higher educational institutions (IPT) around Malaysia. This effort, part of the 2024 Aidilfitri Holiday celebrations, ran from March 29 to the previous day, with a RM100,000 budget set aside for the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aznan Tamin, Chairman of the State Education and Information Committee, emphasized the state&#8217;s commitment to the welfare of its youth under the leadership of Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi. &#8220;This effort demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that Johor students studying outside can return home safely and comfortably. It&#8217;s also a step toward reducing the financial pressures connected with flying during such a joyous season, allowing students to spend Hari Raya with their loved ones,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program includes educational institutions such as Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, among others.
